May 2025

This month I wanted to focus on Earth and things we can do to help it and us. I have been planting some nice flowers and some tomatoes recently and the joy it brings me when i get my hands dirty and grounded with mother nature is unlike anything else. It doen't take much to grow plants and help Earth heal from the damages we as humans have either knowingly or unknowingly produced. Seeds can be found at most public libraries for free or one can start something called a seed library where one can "checkout" seeds to plant in their garden or maybe in a community garden. On a side note I believe there should be more community gardens where the community can go to plant and grow food and/or flowers to better help the Earth and its community. I want to see your gardens be them indoors or out and I will publish them in next months edition of Simply 49!

Community Highlight of the Month:

For this Month I would like to announce Brodie Ranch Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as the Community Highlight of the month of May. This nursing and rehabilitation center goes well above and beyond what its duty is as they help their residents not only recuperate from injury or illness but also provide end of life comfort and treat their residents as if they were family. They also guide them to make the right choices in life such as eating healthy and exercising to keep fit. Not just a place to call home but a place to do activities with a wonderful activities director. The administrator is a FAFO type of boss that takes care of his employees first but always has the best interest of the patient and will make sure nothing happens to that patient. He will also without a bat of an eye discipline employees that are in the wrong. He has strong leadership skills and so does his staff.
