May 2025

This month I wanted to focus on Earth and things we can do to help it and us. I have been planting some nice flowers and some tomatoes recently and the joy it brings me when i get my hands dirty and grounded with mother nature is unlike anything else. It doen't take much to grow plants and help Earth heal from the damages we as humans have either knowingly or unknowingly produced. Seeds can be found at most public libraries for free or one can start something called a seed library where one can "checkout" seeds to plant in their garden or maybe in a community garden. On a side note I believe there should be more community gardens where the community can go to plant and grow food and/or flowers to better help the Earth and its community. I want to see your gardens be them indoors or out and I will publish them in next months edition of Simply 49!

A Community United Together.

Join me as I travel the community to different areas that are wheelchair accessible and soon to be walker hopefully as I am recovering from a health scare that only makes one stronger and want to fight more for equality.

During the last week I have gone out and about in the city of Austin, Texas. I must say that I am very pleased in how much of the area is handicap accessible. My only complaint is that the Metro Access doesn't go as far out as Frate barker rd area in what I like to call the deep south of Austin, Texas which tends to limit how often I go out as the Metro Pickup doesn't operate on the weekends and my wheelchair however electric doesn't get along great to the HEB. I can make it there I just won't be able to do anything else as. my batteries would have been depleted and I have two of them.
